I just watched the first episode subbed by FFF.

SAO II, episode 1Show

I remember not liking Kikuoka from SAO: Extra Edition. And nothing has changed. There's just something in the way he speaks that I simply don't trust. The fact that he's part of the Japanese government is only part of it. But hey, we get to see Kirito and Asuna go on a date so that was nice. And the basic plot is introduced for us concerning what seem to be unexplained deaths occurring in connection with GGO.

As an aside, it's nice we get some more nods to MMO culture, referencing eSports and virtual-to-real-currency exchanges. I wonder when we'll get references to gold farmers and bot sellers.

I totally agree with you, don't like him as well, he definitely got some Sugou's aura.

I didn't watch SAO until April 2013 after the entire season had already finished airing, so there wasn't much point for me to create a thread since I probably woudn't have gotten any responses from anyone else (I posted in the catchup thread instead). It was probably for the best anyway, since SAO seemed to be rather polarizing just like Guilty Crown was. And I really didn't want to have to put up with half the forum bashing the series instead of simply dropping it while I'm the only one defending it like I did with it. I still ended up defending SAO anyway...

Early intro for GGO gameplay, and Shino finally appear. I especially like the scene when Sinon jump down and snipe that minigun user. I think Kirito girl-like appearance will be on the scene next ep.

Asaka probably is the best Character so far in the whole SAO world.
I'm still unsure if someone can have a big trauma like that and yet act normal in a videogame, because no matter how you see it, the trauma is in your brain whenever you're in the real life or in a game but, anyway, I like her character so far.

I really like Shinon's (from now on, I'm combining her real life and game character names; mainly since she's a sniper, "Shinon" reminds me of the archer in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn, although their personalities are very different) real life character design She's rather cute. And her backstory is interesting. Definitely not something to get over since it happened at such a young age. And judging from her mother's reaction after it was over, plus Shinon's phone call with her grandparents during the present time, I'm guessing she and her mother are estranged. And if that's true, that's kind of sad. I don't know how it would be viewed in Japan, but if it were me in danger from some deranged bank robber, and my son or daughter saved my life (as well as everyone else in the area), I would be the last one to shun him/her. Especially someone that young; they need all the emotional support they can get after something like that.

And so Kirito enters GGO, but he keeps insisting he is a guy. So does he really have a male avatar, but just with long hair, or does he have an actual female avatar? Either way, from the stares he was getting from the other GGO players, I'm willing to bet there exists some H-doujins with GGO Kirito on the receiving end of some group rape.
*cough* Anyway, I thought his interactions with Shinon were cute, especially when they got on the motorbuggy vehicle, but given Asuna's status as Kirito's official girlfriend, I'm expecting Shinon to ultimately get the same treatment that Nanami got in Sakarasou.

Finally in the world of GGO, and he really look like a she...! xD
So that reflection of Kirito is really so deadly until the point like insane. Sinon reaction is kinda cute in this ep, but I think it will be another way if the battle start.

if you haven't read the light novel that its based off of I would go and read that, it's much better. Sword Art Online has an amazing story and lore behind it, the problem being is that since its based off of the light novel it seemed to skip around and not develop the characters. It's not one of the best anime "critic wise", but I had a blast watching it and it was really just a fun anime to experience. The first arc was much better than the second in my opinion.

I hate when it end at climax!
Sinon's expression was, really scary. Kirito definitely a crazy one, win the match by using sword and a handgun. Death Gun, Laughing Coffin survival, SAO red player, is now at the stage.
