I'm also sick of being sick, and it only gets worse over time. (Misophonia and hypersensitivity since ????, "painful brain fog" since 2012, migraines since 2013, fatigue since 2014, suffocated feeling since 2015, constant digestive trouble since 2017, vasculitis since 2018.) I'm not fond of pain and discomfort, but I try to not care. These problems get in the way of what I need to do, what I want to do, and social interaction (irl and online). I ended up moving back in with my parents this year, adding to their financial strain. It's not just me- everyone in the family is experiencing a variety of mystery health problems, but I'm the most disabled by my problems.

My current doctor is confident that my problems are being caused by autoimmunity. I started taking an immunosuppressant nine days ago (October the 10th) so we'll see where that takes me.

i'm generally a very happy and positive person but sometimes i just have an issue of randomly breaking down. i'll just feel very sad and emotional and i'll start crying at night when i head to bed.

previously this was an issue due to stress and personal issues (i.e., the kind of problem where i didn't believe i deserved happiness and questioning my self-worth) but i went to a counselor at my university for that and she helped me walk through it for about two months; it was very helpful and i was proud that i could get through that phase of my life.

but now im just feeling it randomly without the stress of school or anything like that. it's not very common but i definitely don't like it when it happens. i've talked about it to my boyfriend but we're not sure what the issue could be. it does take a toll on my sleep at night which is also pretty frustrating. but i'm also starting to get back into strength training so hopefully working out will help.

i just hope it goes away. i hate that kind of feeling.

(When I pressed submit, the page refreshed and my message was gone. Good thing I had it copied to the clipboard.)

Yeah, 'depression' can appear for weird reasons or for no apparent reason at all. I generally have a pretty stable mood, but it goes all out of wack whenever storm fronts pass through. (I'm guessing it's being caused by the change in air pressure.) That can also be the first sign of illness for me. Like, I'll become deeply sad for no reason and feel a strong longing for nothing in particular. The next day, surprise surprise, I'll have a fever, runny nose, and sore throat.

The best I know to do is try to stay busy when it happens (instead of wallowing in the bad feelings), but that doesn't work when the bad feelings are really strong. Sometimes watching something funny helps, especially if I can start laughing. I've tried a few antidepressants and none of them helped me (and I had bad side effects), but they do help some people.

In any case, I hope you can find relief. It sounds like you are keeping active and also have supportive people irl. That's great.

My cat's been making weird snuffling/wheezing noises when she breathes and we found out it's being caused by a cancerous tumor in her nasal passages. :{

She's old and there's not much they can do other than chemo to keep it from growing+spreading. She's being medicated for a couple of probably unrelated things too (blood pressure, thyroid disorder) and I fear her days of being healthy and energetic might be over, if she even has much time left :C
