Which pair do you like the most? By the way, I hope you guys know that these aren't "which character is more moe" questions.

Mii-chan and Shii-chan, fairly easy choice for me. As a girl, I personally find the combination of Mion who is charismatic, tough, and reliable (but also with a soft, girlish side), and Shion who is more girlish than Mion but also possesses strong determination and warm heart more attractive than other pairs.

As sad as it is, considering that for ISML 2010, no one in Kanon qualified, Higurashi only had Rika/Hanyuu (who finished 47th and 48th) and Fate wasn't even able to get into DE, it's more likely than you think

then again i could be totally off and these characters just didn't stick with the viewers (i don't believe that! >__>)

It is hard for me to vote against Kanon, especially if Shiori is involved in it.

I voted for Mion and Shion, because they (well, everyone in Higurashi) seem like they'd be fun, loyal, great friends. Although for the characters themselves I would have really loved more substantial interaction between them. Familial bonds are definitely my favorite, they're just way too touching.

That's why it was so hard to vote against Shiori/Kaori and Fate/Alicia, even if we're simply voting for the characters themselves and not their relationships. Both sister bonds managed to both break my heart and heal it (such warm and fuzzy feelings)

I must admit I barely remember Alicia even though I watched all three seasons of Nanoha last year during the tournament...
I'm not totally opposed to Mion and Shion, as I rather liked their story arcs in the first season of Higurashi, and are each interesting, but I must say that the plot and character interactions with Shiori and Kaori was executed fairly well. I could also personally identify with Kaori's situation as something similar happened with me.
