Re: Corner of Anime Saimoe Tournament 2010
If Azusa wins this one, K-On! would pull a complete sweep of all three Saimoe circuits (KBM, ISML and AST). That would be history in the making and establishing K-On! as having the most dominating 2 characters ever in 2010.

Re: Corner of Anime Saimoe Tournament 2010
A very interesting scenario. As much as I want to go against Azusa in the final match for the methods she used to beat Mikoto (all acceptable here), the fact that no one had come within 100 votes of catching Azusa and it took everything Azusa had to beat Mikoto by roughly 25, I would think Azusa would be more deserving of the title this year.
We'll see if Azusa can beat Nagi and prove that her victory over Mikoto was (technically speaking) the match for the title, or will Nagi finally reach the top (which she was unable to accomplish in 07)

Fail result. I would like K-ON! to win all three the tournaments but not with Azusa so i am gonna support Nagi. This time Nagi will win!

Ouch...I know you love Mio, but Azusa eliminated her in Japan Saimoe Round 3 along with Mikoto...anyway, just hope that your favorite girls are still there in ISML 2011; however, the Angel Beats girls will soon come. Anyway, according to my calculations...Azusa has the most number of COMBINED VOTES of 4030+ from Round 1-5 of J-Saimoe 2010...so whether you like it or not...K-On will still survive in ANY form just for you...moemio wrote:Fail result. Re: Corner of Anime Saimoe Tournament 2010
Okay, so it is last year all over again. We have a Kugimiya Rie character against a K-ON! character. Like Yui, I do not trust Azusa winning this one. What she did to Nodoka was not as impressive as what Nagi did to Komoro. That being said, I think Nagi is going to win this year's AST 2011, making Rie a two-time, back-to-back winner in AST.

Re: Corner of Anime Saimoe Tournament 2010
It has been a real heart-stopper watching the numbers moved on the real-time tracker. The final 10 minutes had me nearly on the edge of despair when Nagi was leading by around 20 votes. But seriously...a 177 vote difference? Wow!
Congrats to Azusa for winning AST 2010 and K-On! for sweeping the Saimoe Circuit.

Congratulations to Azusa for winning this year's AST. In 2010, the three major moe tournaments were won by the same animation series: K-ON!.

Azusa was definitely not among my top choices for winning AST, but I'm fine with this result. <3 Great job from Azusa and K-ON!.

Re: Corner of Anime Saimoe Tournament 2010
Maybe Azusa would of did the same to Mikoto 1 on 1. Anyway, the finals results revealed that Mikoto was Azusa's only competition this year. Nagi make it look close at the end in total votes which made things interesting. Otherwise, Azusa ended up winning with no trouble.
(I will still vote for K-ON if they face an opponent I am not really interested in, against someone I consider a favorite I will go for the opponent just to have someone else win. Nothing personal.

Proxy votes will kill you, as seen here. Got the over/under and the winning margin right, though.

Re: Corner of Anime Saimoe Tournament 2010
Mio with ISML and KBM victories and Azusa with J-Saimoe victory...2010 does, indeed, belong to K-On as I predicted...not a disappointment, just plain extreme!
