Re: RESULTS - Topaz 9
The Nagisa-Horo match? 1400 to 1500? seriously? Wow...that's losing with class Nagisa.
Well so far we've had two "new" winners for necklaces this year. Both had clear chances at the wins last year, but never actually made it. So good job Yuki in taking the missing Topaz necklace from the departed Setsuna. Though orange is not a good color on Yuki....at least not in that dress.
(Note: The most recent Haruhi-chan (episode 24) has a "shower scene" for Nagato...silhouette for a second basically...of normal Nagato rather than Haruhi-chan version)

There isn't another Yuki in an acceptable dress. You can try finding, but in the end we have specific criteria and that picture suits it the best.

I'll admit it. I love Fate, but I just cheered when I discovered she got overthrown (not to mention Yuki wining the period). Seeing all the Fate fanboys raging for a change has made my day.

Why didn't I notice that? Maybe this will give me more motivation about fixing that stupid poster. Thanks for the heads up.ppizzapie wrote:What bugs me about the poster is actually the white spacesKholdStare88 wrote:There isn't another Yuki in an acceptable dress. I hate to admit it, but KholdStare's right. I do dislike that Yuki dress, but all of the other ones that I personally found were either downright worse or had either Haruhi or Mikuru covering parts of it.KholdStare88 wrote:There isn't another Yuki in an acceptable dress. Unnn... am I the only one who liked that dress (plus her face looks like the novels ilustrations).
Hey Khold, how many valid votes this time?

That's... surprising at the very least. I'd already given up on Topaz, but Yuki winning makes my day. Looks like there's still hope.

Re: RESULTS - Topaz 9
Tomoyo was still close this time. Last time it was a tie (followed by a narrow win for Tomoyo). Last time there was the Tomoyo OVA, this time there is not, but Haruhi-chan is running and the rumors of 28 episode Haruhi are still flying around. Even then, Yuki's advantage was small over Tomoyo.
I am amazed that we've not had a tie yet, though at least two cases that were really close to being ties. I guess with the higher numbers a tie is less likely than it was last year with around 1,000 people (or less) voting per round. Now with over 3,000 people voting, the chances are lesser...though not impossible, as Yami being in this contest demonstrates that it is possible to tie even with over 10,000 votes.

There wasn't a single aspect of "surprising" this match had to offer. >_>Destiny wrote:That's... surprising at the very least. I'd already given up on Topaz, but Yuki winning makes my day. Looks like there's still hope.

Your predicting skills leave you with less surprises. The rest of us can still see some.

Re: RESULTS - Topaz 9
Eh, predicting skills aside, did you think Tomoyo had the edge over Yuki after what was happening in Topaz? Likewise, to Fate, and Kagami. SHnY vote totals that where through the rough; Fate and Tomoyo where some of the most underperformed characters in Topaz. And Kagami was just...not being her typical dominant self, either.
Some of the non-featured matches didn't go as planned, but I don't think that's what Destiny was referring to.

Yeah, the ones that are hardest to predict are often the ones that don't matter.

Re: RESULTS - Topaz 9
Ah, congrats for Yuki.
I have no comments for other matches (especially for Fate's, since her rival was Haruhi --a), except that I am a little bit upset with Remilia's losing to Anya at the first time I saw it. And---yeah, Nagisa-Holo's match is a superb battle, I must said.

Lol, there is something about it. It just looks like a loli-version of her.Signum wrote:Also, ick. The necklace picture of Yuki looks terrible.

Results.
Yuki is deffinitively superior to Tomoya. But I would have prefered Fate tough.
