Summer work

Post by Crisu » Wed May 27, 2009 6:23 pm

It's starting to become summertime for must of us student folk. Got any summer classes lined up? Or a part-time job?

Or are you going to lazy it out until Aug/Sept?

Me, I'm still trying to look for a career.

Right now I'm working tourism for the third summer in a row. It makes pretty good money for the work required. They asked me to be a supervisor this year of the property claims department, meaning: I hunt down delayed luggage, lost personal items, catalog found personal items, and process paperwork for damaged luggage, etc. I talk to a lot of angry people, but hey, I consider it good training for patience >.<

For me, I've been looking for a job for the past few months, so summer or not, I guess I'll keep searching.

Hey, it reminds me my former job, I worked in the Customer Support for an online game company. That means taking care of angry players and trying to solve their problems. And yeah, that teaches patience =P

I don't have summer school nor work, so I'm probably going to stay home every day. Veeeery exciting. Maybe I'll decide to get scorched in Six Flags a bit too, but that's it.

Just make some easy and leisure job like formatting laptop at home, member's house or cybercafe. i don't search any part-time caused too tired after study in short semester and involve too many in many university activity -_- ... also most of them want a worker that work more than 3 month

Too bad, this summer would probably means more works for me, especially if I have to correct my final papers--again. *sigh*

Well, I hope that won't happen. If there's no work related to my study this summer, probably I will spend most of my time in front of the computer at home, finishing some game and visual novels I've yet to do.

I take two classes because my Asian mom forced me to. Yes I know how old I am.

Whoever has their vacation completely free sure is lucky... or maybe not. Too much free time perhaps?

I've got myself a summer reading assignment for my sophomore English Honors class. I haven't decided on the book yet, and I have seven choices.
I don't mind the reading, but the work that comes with it seems like overkill to me... Lucky for me, English is my favorite subject :3
- Write a three page research paper
- Make a poster that includes a two part essay describing it
- Write a five page epilogue for the book.

My actual free time is going to be dedicated to watching more anime, finishing my many incomplete games, and editing some AMVs.
Uhh, I think I'm also going to be taking Drivers Ed. and Drivers Training... Yep, that's definitely it for my summer vacation xD
