Nominations in February

Sunday, October 31st, 2010

ISML 2011 Nomination Period will last from Sunday, February 6 through Saturday, February 12.

The Preliminary Period will begin on Friday, March 4.

We are starting ISML a little bit later in 2011 to allow characters from this winter’s series to be eligible. By winter series, I’m referring to those that start at the end of December or beginning of January and should have aired about 5 episodes by February. Still, only characters that have appeared in the show (and subject to all our usual eligibility rules) by February 6 will be eligible for nomination.

More details about the Preliminaries will be available soon; the format will be similar to 2010’s prelims with three phases and several group matches. The Staff will have the 2011 Charter completed soon, too.

Today we crown a new champion of the International Saimoe League, Akiyama Mio!

Congratulations to Mio and a round of applause for runner-up, Misaka Mikoto, who has done very well this year — perhaps better than many have expected. All of our finalists deserve praise. It has been an exciting tournament, and I hope you’ve enjoyed it.

With these results, ISML 2010 now concludes for the year. I thank all our staff for making this event a possibility, and all of you, the voters, too, for participating! Activities for ISML 2011 are not yet scheduled. We also have to define eligibility rules for characters as well; these may change slightly. Just stay tuned to the main page every once in a while for new updates, or subscribe to this blog (via RSS) to get automatic updates. Thank you for all your support and participation, and we’ll see you next year!
